So I have to admit, I don’t get Kindle blogs.
In case you’re a complete technophobe and don’t know, Amazon has this nifty device called a Kindle. It’s basically just an e-book reader, with free wireless access to the intertubes, including the ability to purchase books and have them delivered magically through the luminiferous aether or something. And no, I’m not getting paid to shill for them, since my idiotic state legislature passed a law that caused Amazon to end its affiliate program for people in my state (as anybody who isn’t a completely naive idiot could have told you would happen. Thanks a pantload, legislators).
Anywho, as previously referenced, one of the things available on this here Kindle thing are blogs. Only you have to pay for them. Now, I’m a filthy capitalist, so I’m not against paying for things. But it is sort of puzzling, since you can get these blogs for free on your computer in most cases. In fact, you can get them for free on your Kindle fairly easily, too. You just open the “experimental” web browser and surf to the page.
So for only a few bucks a month, you can read a blog on your trendy e-book reader that you could just as easily read for free on your PC (or even right there on your trendy e-book reader with just a tiny bit more work). Why would anybody do this? Perhaps more importantly, what kind of idiot would try to sell a free blog?
Dude, I happen to be a complete idiot, and I believe I described to you in perfect detail exactly what would happen after that law passed. And I was 100% correct. So all I’m saying is, hey, idiots knew it would happen too.
Internet Blog…
It was an interesting blog post that inspired me to create this news article….
